I am almost 33 now, and l do not really have any wrinkles, yet, but l would still like to do what l can to keep them at bay. l have oily skin, and I've heard that this will help me develop fewer wrinkles than someone with normal or dry skin, but unfortunately, my oily skin also leaves me susceptible to the occasional breakout. I've been exfoliating day and night with an apricot scrub from St. Ives that is formulated for oily skin and has salicylic acid. So far, it is done a pretty good job of keeping the zits away. Also, I've started using Nivea CoQ10 wrinkle reducer day creme and night creme. Do you think that any of this will work?

Do you think that my skin care regimen will help keep the wrinkles away

My Dermatologist is like my best friend. Here is the scoop:
The best skincare regimen u can have is to use sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen.
The only thing that topical creams can do is help alleviate very fine, surface lines. Skincare creams cannot help wrinkles. Botox & fillers can. You can really retard the formation of wrinkles with the use of these tools.

As for the oily skin, I have it, too. I use the Neutrogena toner in the blue bottle, it is very good & not drying. Also witch hazel is a great toner to help with oiliness.

As for the apricot scrubs, they kernels in the apricots tend to be a little to large & actually tear the skin. It is best to use a very fine exfoliator, again, Neutrogena makes a good one. Or just use one with fine beads that u like.

As for acne, Aveeno makesa great acne treatment. It is an on the spot treatment, comes in a green tube.

To really help with acne (mine was AWFUL), I woudl suggest seeing a dermatologist. He can perscribe a number of things taht will work well. After many rounds with a number of things that cured my acne, I maintain a ''zit-free'' face with a sulphur-based mask called Plexion. It is a magnificent lifesaver. Really.
I also use it to spot treat the occasional pimple at night.

Good luck! I am 32, btw.

The best way to keep wrinkles away is this:

Drink plenty of water
ALWAYS USE SPF SUN PROTECTION on ur skin
Avoid sun exposure if u can
cleanse & moisturize ur skin twice daily (morning & night)
(and always include ur NECK, because this skin looses elasticity easy & u need to care for it like u do ur face)

Looking for good products for inside & out beauty? try Arbonne products, all natural, botanical, NO animal by-products - everything from vitamins to SPF protection to anti-aging products.

If u do not have alot of melanin in ur skin ( u do not have naturally brown, olive, or very dark skin) then my answer is No.
You ought to wear sunscreen at least SPF 15, every time u go out after 10:00 am in the morning. Skin that does not have eumelanin is susceptible to premature aging when exposed to sunlight. This is caused by UVA & UVB rays penetrating the skin, mutating the DNA & making deep, making unable to be fixed wrinkles with sagging. I think that ur skin regimen will help out a little bit but u ought to wear sunscreen.
And if u still want a healthy tan, then use bronzer or a little self tanner. There is a self tanner out there for everyone, I have seen Nicole Kidman wear it before because she cannot & does not tan naturally.
Hope this helps.

And remember not to smoke. Smoking can make people age really fast ESPECIALLY women. I do not know why that is, but it is.

Word to the wise, all women, regardless of skin color should wear a light sunscreen. Even though skin cancer occurs most commonly among people with very little melanin, moles, splotches, & discoloration can still happen to everyone.

Yes, I think that ur skincare regimen is very good. But also remember to stay out of the sun. If you're going to be outside for a long period of time, always wear sunscreen & maybe a hat. Keeping ur skin hydrated is also going to minimize signs of aging, so keep using the Nivea cream. I've heard great things about that brand.
Whatever u do, do not use mineral makeup like Bare Minerals. That powdery stuff will settle into every one of ur wrinkles & fine lines. The brand is really for younger people who have smooth skin. You might want to skip foundation & face powder because that can have the same effect. Always use an eye cream before u apply concealer or eyeshadow so ur skin does not get a ''crepey'' look.

I do not know what will work for you, but I do know what I've seen in older women who look fantastic for their age.

No face makeup - no powder, no foundation, no concealor. I know- it is tough. But which do u want more?

Vitamin E - I met an elderly woman whose face was remarkable despite her age. I asked whether or not she had had work done. She told me her secret was that she used Vitamin E capsules on a regular basis. She would prick the pill to get to the liquid, & apply it to her face before bed. A bit messy, but hey!

Water - And lots, but everyone knows that.
